【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesaguidefordeterminingthewaterseparationcharacteristicsofoilssubjecttowatercontaminationandturbulence.Itisusedforspecificationofnewoilsandmonitoringofin-serviceoils.1.1Thistestmethodcoversmeasurementoftheabilityofpetroleumoilsorsyntheticfluidstoseparatefromwater.Note18212;Althoughdevelopedspecificallyforsteam-turbineoilshavingviscositiesof28.8-90cSt(mm2/s)at40176;C,thistestmethodcanbeusedtotestoilsofothertypeshavingvariousviscositiesandsyntheticfluids.Itisrecommended,however,thatthetesttemperatureberaisedto82177;1176;Cwhentestingproductsmoreviscousthan90cSt(mm2/s)at40C.Forhigherviscosityoilswherethereisinsufficientmixingofoilandwater,TestMethodD2711,isrecommended.Othertesttemperaturessuchas25176;Ccanalsobeused.Whentestingsyntheticfluidswhoserelativedensitiesaregreaterthanthatofwater,theprocedureisunchanged,butitshouldbenotedthatthewaterwillprobablyfloatontheemulsionorliquid.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,see6.3-6.5.
