【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheassessmentofmaterialthermalstabilitythroughthedeterminationofthetemperatureatwhichthematerialsstarttodecomposeorreactandtheextentofthemasschangeusingthermogravimetry.Thetestmethodusesminimumquantitiesofmaterialandisapplicableoverthetemperaturerangefromambientto800176;C.1.2Theabsenceofreactionordecompositionisusedasanindicationofthermalstabilityinthistestmethodundertheexperimentalconditionsused.1.3Thistestmethodmaybeperformedonsolidsorliquids,whichdonotsublimeorvaporizeinthetemperaturerangeofinterest.1.4Thistestmethodshallnotbeusedbyitselftoestablishasafeoperatingorstoragetemperature.Itmaybeusedinconjunctionwithothertestmethods(forexample,E487,E537andE1981)aspartofahazardanalysisofamaterial.1.5Thistestmethodisnormallyapplicabletoreactionordecompositionoccurringintherangefromroomtemperatureto800176;C.Thetemperaturerangemaybeextendeddependingontheinstrumentationused.1.6Thistestmethodmaybeperformedinaninert,areactiveorself-generatedatmosphere.1.7ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.8ThereisnoISOstandardequivalenttothistestmethod.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.
